Amethyst-Citrine (Ametrine) Necklace

Ametrine is a naturally occurring variety of quartz in which the violet tones of Amethyst and the golden tones of Citrine appear within a single crystal. Its distinctive colouring develops through differences in the oxidation state of iron within the quartz as the crystal forms, creating a meeting point between two expressions of the same mineral family.

Metaphysically, Ametrine brings together the qualities traditionally associated with both stones. Amethyst is connected with calm, reflection, and the release of habitual patterns, while Citrine is associated with clarity, vitality, inspiration, and forward movement. Together, they speak to the balance between reflection and action — knowing when to release, when to discern, and when to move.
